In my case, the alternativ (since 1991) is a consistent folder-filename structure; this works with any device plus if you ever want to run an additional index or use some kind of database software, it's easy to pull the data as long as the naming scheme is consistent.

I know that this is a very basic, simple approach; but I've seen to many software companies disappear - my point being that I don't want to invest an enormous amount of time to enter meta-data which I might lose in the future. My music-collection should definitely last longer than a couple of software generations, so for me, the "folder/filename-system" definitely is the best option. And since I've been working as music journalist for fifteen years, I'm talking about a huge collection here: I got about 20 promo albums per week, and I've mp3'ed all the ones I like, plus all the netlabel stuff I collected. All in all, we're talking about 1.5 Terabytes here - any my simple, yet fail-proof system works very well. To find tunes quickly, I additionally use and indexing software (Copernic) - definitely no need for iTunes.

Grundsätzlich denke ich, dass Facebook das Potential hat, noch viel mehr anzurichten als Google; es handelt sich ja um ein Trade-Off Business: Facebook stellt gratis einen sehr gut funktionierenden Service zur Verfügung; die User stellen im Gegenzug ihre Daten zur Verfügung.

Für die meisten Benutzer sieht das aus wie ein guter Deal, und FB lebt zu einem hohen Grad davon, dass Änderungen schnell mal hintenrum umgesetzt werden. Ich bin aber dagegen, Facebook einzuschränken und für Aufklärung: Benutzer müssen wissen, was sie da tun - Intransparenz kann man FB aber kaum vorwerfen.

Wieviel hat Dich das EOS 7D/EF 24-70/Velbon Sherpa Package gekostet ? Habe die selbe Kombi "im Auge" ...

Ich hab Body + Linse bei eBay gekauft, das Stativ bei Amazon; hab am Wochenende die ersten Portraits gemacht und soweit sehr zufrieden. Die Preise:

EOS 7D 1.250,-
EF 24-70 1.25,0-
Velbon 100,-

Dazu kommt dann noch diverser Klein-Stuff (Batteriegriff, 2. Akku-Pack, Fernauslöser, Schutzglas für Display, Schutzfilter für Objektiv und so Zeugs); außerdem hab ich den Kugelkopf des Stativs (das wirklich leicht und massiv ist, kann ich nur empfehlen) gegen einen Kopf mit Hebel ausgetauscht, weil ich's auch zum Filmen nehme.

Warum findest du South Park besser als die Simpsons? Mit subtilem Schmäh wie er oft bei den Simpsons vorkommt is ja nix bei South Park...

Die Simpsons erinnern mich zunehmend an aktuelle Non-Comic Comedy Formate; Matt Groening macht halt immer noch das gleiche wie vor 15 Jahren. Ich find SP einfach viel zeitgemäßer, subversiver, innovativer (gilt alles nur die EN-Originalfassung) und letztendlich auch für wesentlich subtiler.

Ja, das kommt vor - manchmal. Viel häufiger ist es aber der Fall, dass ich die Filme sehe, und sie noch viel besser sind als damals; da fallen mir in erster Linie die "Sindbad der Seefahrer" Verfilmungen ein.

Definitiv *viel* schlechter als ich sie in Erinnerung hatte sind die Simpsons; das könnte aber auch daran liegen, dass SouthPark die Latte einfach höher gelegt hat.

Da gibt's wirklich eine Menge Plugins, die in Frage kommen - am Produktivsystem hab ich über 60 im Einsatz... und ich pflege eine intensive freundschaftliche Beziehung zu jedem einzelnen davon! :-)

"Wahnfried" ist gut, aber daran hab ich nicht gedacht... *fried ist ja ein recht beliebter Namensfortsatz: Gottfried, Ottfried, Siegfried, Boardfried, Skifried (in Tirol sehr beliebter Name!) etc. - da war "Blogfried" natürlich naheliegend.

warum der frosch?

Da gibt's viele Gründe, aber der primäre, wichtigste und völlig subjektive: Ich mag Frösche sehr gern. (Das könnte ich sicherlich irgendwie begründen, von wegen amphibisch, freundlich, cool etc...) Schon viel länger, als ich blogge.

Der Frosch ist in auffällig vielen Kulturen ein Glückssymbol, außerdem finde ich, wenn man Tiergattungen einer Musikrichtung zuordnen müsste, dann wären Frösche Dub. Und Dub ist großartig.

Außerdem gibt's an den Plätzen, wo ich mich am liebsten aufhalte (z.B. Lobau), auch immer massiv viele Frösche. War also klar, dass nur Ranae als Repräsentanten in Frage kommen!

Der Bücherstapel mit den noch ungelesenen Büchern - wie hoch ist der und was lässt sich darin finden?

Ist schwer zu sagen... das ist kein eigener Stapel, sondern ein breits Spektrum von "mehrmals" über "teilweise" bis "noch gar nicht" gelesen.

Momentan bin ich grad an David Foster Wallace "Infinite Chest" dran... außerdem ein FBML-, zwei Digitfoto- und ein Videoschnittbuch. Und jede Menge Zeitschriften (Datum, Titanic, c't) liegen auch noch auf dem Stapel.

Wenn ich alles dazurechne, was noch ungelesen im Regal steht, dann reicht meine Raumhöhe (=4.90m) für den Stapel aber bei weitem nicht aus.

Die drei prägendsten Bücher deiner beruflichen Laufbahn?

Hm... more like 333 :-)

Darf ich stattdessen drei Autoren nennen? Beruflich am meisten beeinflusst haben mich mit Sicherheit Heinz von Foerster, Vilém Flusser und Marshall McLuhan.

Ich habe deren Bücher daheim im Regal stehen (den Großteil zumindest), und die meisten davon mehrmals gelesen. Jedesmal glaub ich, ich hab's kapiert, und drei Jahre später tun sich dann wieder ganz neue Perspektiven auf. Ich sag mal ganz pathetisch: Bücher, die mit dem eigenen Erfahrungsschatz korrespondieren, die mag ich :-)
